Thank you for asking to honestdocs.
Your doctor may perform tests to identify of the staph bacteria behind your infection, and to help choose the antibiotic that will work best. Antibiotics commonly prescribed to treat staph infections include certain cephalosporins, nafcillin or related antibiotics, sulfa drugs, or vancomycin.
Vancomycin increasingly is required to treat serious staph infections because so many strains of staph bacteria have become resistant to other traditional medicines. But vancomycin and some other antibiotics have to be given intravenously.
If you're given an oral antibiotic, be sure to take it as directed, and to finish all of the medication prescribed by your doctor. Ask your doctor what signs and symptoms you should watch for that might indicate your infection is worsening.
Note: If you have a skin infection, your doctor will likely make an incision into the sore to drain fluid that has collected there.
I hope this is useful for you. Get well soon.

Hello thanks for contact honestdocs
For infections caused by staphylococcal infection , some antibiotics that can be used
- first generation of cephalosporin (cefazolin, cephalothin, cephalexin)
-clindamycin
-lincomycin
-erythromycin
In indonesia, you must buy it with doctor receipt and antibiotics will induce some allergic reaction such as rash, vomit, abdominal discomfort and anaphyllactics. You must be careful to use it
Antibiotic can make you have resistency and when someday you will use it, you can't have any effect of them.So you must complete it minimal for 5 days ahead.

Hello, good afternoon.
Thank you for trusting Honestdocs.
First of all, please let us explain to you about staphylococcus infection briefly. Staphylococcus infections are caused by bacteria called staphylococcus, and this bacteria most often affect the skin. This lesion normally can go away on their own, but sometimes they need to be treated with antibiotics.
The symptoms of staph infections vary widely, depending on the location and severity of the infection. But generally, the symptoms of this infection will appear as swollen skin, red bump, painful, sores, or even blisters. This type of infection can spread to others through skin contact, coughs, sharing personal things to others.
Regarding the treatment options, Staph infections can be treated by antibiotics such as cephalosporins, vancomycin or other types. However, we highly recommend you to consult with a doctor first to identify the cause as well as to help choose the antibiotic that will work best. If there is any skin infection, normally doctor will perform wound drainage to drain the fluid and reduce the infection.
In the meantime if you suspect you have a staph infection, we suggest you to wash your hands regularly, keep any cuts covered, keep your skin clean and visit doctor as soon as possible.
Hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions. :)
